Hanumanji is still there among us

Lord Hanuman is one of the Central characters from the Hindu epic Ramayana, also mentioned in several other holy books such as epic Mahabharata and various Purana. We have heard many stories about the departure of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna but, there is no story mentioned anywhere in Hindu scriptures about Lord Hanuman retreating to heaven as goddess Sita gave him the boon of immortality.

It is to be said that Lord Hanuman is the living fragment of lord Shiva. He is also called as Pawan Putra (Diety Vayu’s son), he was born on earth as Anjana and Kesari’s son. Lord Hanuman is worshipped by millions of devotees, his tales are very much known for his bravery, courage, strength, innocence, compassion, selflessness and mostly his devotion towards Lord Ram. According to Hinduism, when Lord Ram went to his abode, Vaikuntha, he gave Lord Hanuman a blessing that he shall live till the end of the world and Ramayana’s existence.

It is believed that because Lord Hanuman is immortal, he is present in Kalyug as well, at Gandhmadan Parvat in Rameshwaram (Tamil Nadu) where he worships his lord Rama, his temple is situated over there along with other Ramayan idols. Whenever people see monkeys near the temple not only in Rameshwaram any Lord Hanuman’s temple they consider it as proof of his existence and according to them, Lord Hanuman makes his presence felt whenever and wherever a dedicated loyal devotee with pure heart chants Lord Ram’s name.
