Coconut is said to be God’s fruit, in Sanskrit it is called ‘Shreefala’ the three dots on it imply the Trimurti. In Hinduism, the coconut is the most common offering in temples, it is considered as a Sacred, pure, and health-giving fruit. So, it is to be said that the breaking of coconut is cited as breaking the human ego and releases all negative vibes with it. As the hard hairy part is to consider as the human head, the white soft part as a mind and the water inside it indicates feelings in a human being like selfishness, ego, jealousy, animosity, etc.
As per the beliefs, God expects his devotees to be pure, positive, and loving. Sometimes the broken coconut is rotten then it is considered as the person is not attempting that practice with a pure mindset of getting rid of all kinds of negativity. So, breaking the coconut and extracting its water denotes surrender to God with absolute devotion, and it is believed that it should be done with pure optimism for the good.
