The relation of a husband and a wife is the most beautiful relation in the world and the beauty of it is demonstrated in Ramayan and the four brothers and their wives. Defining the goals of a complete marital life, the couples stood for each other and proved that when they are together in their thoughts, then life is a blessing.
Shri Ram and Mata Sita – as the popular saying goes, the couple of Shri Ram and Mata Sita are not only made for each other, but born for each other. Just as it was love at first sight, both respected the honour of their elders and regally depicted their love for each other. Shri Ram won the challenge of breaking the bow and won the heart of Mata Sita forever. Mata Sita won the hearts of all with her gentle behaviour and with her dedication towards the relation stays with Shri Ram both in happy and difficult times. As a befitting queen, she sacrifices her personal life for the word f Shri Ram as a king, but does not forget her responsibility in training her sons, Luv and Kush as equal warriors as Shri Ram.
Lakshman and Urmila – This beautiful couple prove that even by being far away, one can stay together. While Mata Sita faces the test of walking on the thorns and stones of the forest along with Shri Ram, her sister Urmila faces the test of being separated from Lakshman for the family. Obeying Lakshman in mind and thought, she does her duty of being away from him and taking care of the royal family in distress. She hides her pain and does her duty, just as Lakshman forgoes all his happiness. Although being far away the couple prove that they are like the body and shadow, never separated from each other.
Bharat and Mandavi – The beauty of a husband and wife lies in understanding each other in their responbilities, rather than luxuries and comforts. Bharat choses the life of a hermit as Shri Ram in Nandigram and Mandavi accepts the decision silently without any complaint. She understands his distress of separation with his brother and does not interfere in his decision and supports him by assisting the queen mothers in the palace. Their love was never talked about, yet they remain as one of the strongest couples who understood each other in all times
Shatrughan and Shrutakirti – Both husband and wife were the youngest in their respective families, yet bore the burden of the elder ones with great dignity and understanding. While Shatrughan becomes the silent support of Bharat, Shrutakirti follows suit by assisting him in his duties. Although they were together, yet they gave more importance to the needs and grief of the entire family and supported them, rather than enjoying their own life in the royal palace. This compatibility makes the most adorable couple of Ayodhya.
A relation of the husband and wife is like the diamond which shines even in the dust and remains the most precious gem. The four couples by reflecting each other’s thoughts, ideals and love are till date the best examples of love and respect to be present between a husband and wife.
